The Catena Group, the partner of choice for wireless connectivity and sensor electronics system solutions, headquartered in Delft, The Netherlands, has closed the year 2014 with yet another profitable year.
Both turnover and profitability are better than in the year 2013, with a growth primarily driven by new projects on Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity IP and additional turn key developments in the areas of Radio (AM, FM, DAB), Sensor Electronics, Car Immobilizers, Zigbee and DSP cores & tooling.
The positive result allows Catena to continue investing in its IP portfolio and further develop innovative RF Wireless System IPs for the focus areas WiFi 11ac and BT/BTLE. The next generation connectivity IP will be available in advanced nodes like 28nm, allowing SOC integration with large digital systems and further reduction of power dissipation and BOM. Catena is furthermore strengthening its partner relationships with strong digital baseband and ASIC logistics companies, making it possible to provide customers with complete turn-key system ASICs.
The Catena group is expanding in all its operational companies in The Netherlands, Sweden and Austria by adding additional strong expertize to the company. The Catena Group is therefore prepared to take on new developments in the wireless and consumer electronics domain.
